Our Values
A Community Church
Church Alive loves San Antonio. This is our home, our community. Our love for God extends to our love of this community. Our love of this community calls us to be a light in this area.
We have a simple plan of loving our community.
- Establish every person in the Word of God
We know that not everyone can be perfect, but we can be saved. The Word of God should be our guide in life. With an understanding of what the Word of God says helps us live a better life and be a greater help in our community.
- Equip every person for ministry
Everyone can help others. This is what true ministry is about. Loving others and helping them at what ever point they are at in life is ministry.
- Empower every person for service
We can all be a help others in life. As a community we can be there in the good and bad times of life. Service means using your talents and abilities to help, lead, guide, and train others.
- Exalt God in all that we do
Every day can be an opportunity to show how great God is. We choose to exalt him in everything.
Church Alive's Story
Church Alive began in the home of our Pastors in May of 1991. By December that same year, the church was meeting in a portion of a shopping center in North San Antonio. Continual growth necessitated acquiring more space in the shopping center. By early 2004, Church Alive was ready to move out of the shopping center into a church building on private land. May 2004 brought Church Alive to our current location on Redland Road.
Church Alive is a non-denominational, Christian church. We focus on biblical principles and loving God and loving people.
One of our foundational scriptures is Romans 12:2 NLT "Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way that you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."
