Community Outreach
Church Alive is focused on serving our community in various ways. It is important for our congregation to exemplify the characteristics of Jesus by helping the people around us.
DREAM Ministry
This community service ministry is our partnership with the American Red Cross. We serve as on-call volunteers during scheduled weeks to provide assistance to the American Red Cross' Diaster Relief services. When a local fire or flood occurs the Red Cross is the first to respond. We provide volunteers to assist on site of the diaster. For major diasters, such as hurricanes, San Antonio is an evacuation center. Within the DREAM Ministry we provide volunteers during this difficult times to staff the American Red Cross at their shelters and processing centers.
SAMM
Every month we volunteer at the San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries Downtown homeless shelter. We assist the shelter with check in, food service, supplies management. We are also given the opportunity to minister in worship and with the Word of God to the adults and to the children staying in the shelter.
Salvation Army
Our Student Ministry, Youth Alive, regularly serves with the Salvation Army. We have assisted during the Christmas season in wrapping donated gifts for families, serving on line at their soup kitchen, and providing any assistance the Salvation Army needs.
San Antonio Food Bank
Church Alive assists the San Antonio Food Bank by regularly holding food drives to stock the pantry at the Food Bank.
